As technology provider in the field of ASD, Shin-Etsu together with the partners: Alexanderwerk, Frewitt, PROCEPT and Thermo Fisher Scientific, shared the latest insights of ASD developments ranging from initial screening phase to downstream processing including spray drying, hot melt extrusion (HME), roller compaction, milling and 3D printing.
The program was comprised of practical lab demonstrations of the different processing technologies featuring the prime polymer for ASDs, Shin-Etsu AQOAT® (HPMCAS), and lectures of invited experts of the field.
In the pharmaceutical industry, granulation is a key processing step in the production of many solid dosage drugs. Given the importance of granulation in the production of oral dosage forms, this seminar focused on different granulation processes in detail. It comprised of lectures and practical demonstration of different technologies. Together with the partners: Alexanderwerk, Lödige, Leistritz and Romaco, Shin-Etsu focused here on roller compaction, high shear granulation, fluid bed granulation, twin screw granulation and compaction simulation.
